Introducing the Legacy Disk

Thursday, December 10, 2009

Everyone has a story. You and your loved ones have stories and those stories should be preserved for now and generations to come. We make that process easy and affordable with The Legacy Disk.

For nearly a year, Turn-Key Enterprises has been working create The Legacy Disk and recently announced its launch.

"Almost all families understand the importance of preserving the past," said Turn-Key Enterprises founder and owner Tim Gregg. "But, doing that isn't as easy as it looks.

"As parents and grandparents age, their place and importance to the structure of the entire family is elevated," Gregg says. "Obviously, experience begets wisdom, but on a larger scale, the lives of those at the head of our family shape us in ways that are many and profound. Those experiences and lessons learned and the essence of the individuals should be preserved."

But just how does a family preserve that past? While Gregg encourages a "do-it-yourself" approach, he says that's rarely and surprisingly the most efficient or economical.

"When it comes to 'do-it-yourself' projects around the house, most people who consider themselves 'handy' stop when the project becomes too large or too important," Gregg said. "We believe a life legacy is important enough to be placed in the hands of professionals, and that's where The Legacy Disk comes into play."

The Legacy Disk involves a three-step process:

fact-finding--determining the milestones of a life well-lived and the people, places and events that shaped those milestones
the interview--at the core of The Legacy Disk experience is a one-hour, on-camera, "long-form" interview, a conversation of sorts between our expert Legacy Disk advisors and our honorees
the finished product--which can include a DVD of the interview, edited and segmented to maximize the relevance and viewing enjoyment of future generations, as well as a gallery of family photos, video testimonials from family and friends, a Web page or even a printed pictorial history.
